I am pleased to share an important milestone in our company’s journey. Effective 16 March 2026, we will change our company name to Fukupochi and refresh our brand identity as part of our commitment to growth, innovation, and delivering greater value to our clients.
In recent years, the payments and fund transfer landscape has evolved rapidly, and our clients’ needs have become more diverse and sophisticated. Building on the trust and foundation we have established, we believe this change better reflects our vision for the future of finance: to deliver services that are more convenient, secure, and globally connected.
Please rest assured that this change will not affect your existing agreements or the services you currently use. No action is required on your part. As a licensed Type II Fund Transfer Operator in Japan, we remain fully committed to safeguarding client funds, complying with regulations, and maintaining the same high level of service quality you expect from us.
What makes this moment especially exciting is that under our new brand, we are preparing to launch an innovative digital financial product that will set a new standard for convenience, security, and global reach in financial services. While details will be shared soon, this initiative reflects our vision to make finance simpler, safer, and more connected for everyone.
We are grateful for your continued trust and support, and we look forward to serving you in this new era under our renewed identity.
— LEE WEE KEAT (CEO, Curfex Japan)
The sound “fuku” also connects to the character “福,” representing positive outcomes and a sense of assurance. These meanings reflect our commitment to safeguarding what matters to you with reliability, care, and good stewardship.
It represents safekeeping, simplicity, and the respectful handling of value — principles that guide how we support your remittances today and the broader financial services we aim to offer as we grow.

CURFEX JAPAN
Nothing about your experience changes:
Does the change of brand name and domain affect the safety of my money?
No. The core safety and security of our service remain exactly the same. Fukupochi (formerly Curfex Japan) is fully licensed by the Kanto Local Finance Bureau in Japan and, in accordance with the Payment Services Act, we deposit a security guarantee with the Tokyo Legal Affairs Bureau. This ensures that your funds are always protected, even in the unlikely event of an emergency. The rebrand does not change this structure in any way.
Will transfer fees or exchange rates change?
No. Our pricing remains unchanged. Your first transfer is free, and from the second transfer onward we charge a simple, transparent 1% fee. We continue to use the mid-market rate (zero spread), which means our fees are still on average about 1/8 of what traditional banks charge.
Will my account information (ID, password, verification documents) change?
No. Your login credentials, registered information, and verified documents will remain exactly the same. Only the brand name and website domain will change.
When will the new brand take effect?
The new brand will officially take effect on March 16, 2026. From that date forward, all communications and the website will reflect the new identity.
Will the website and email domains change, and how can I be sure messages are really from you?
Yes. Our website and email domain will be changed to www.fukupochi.co.jp and hello@fukupochi.co.jp effective March 16, 2026.
Starting March 16, 2026, visitors who access www.curfex.com will be automatically redirected to www.fukupochi.co.jp. Emails sent to our old address hello@curfex.com will also be automatically forwarded to the new domain hello@fukupochi.co.jp for a certain period of time, so please rest assured.
Please note that all official communications will only come from these new addresses. We will never ask for your password or any sensitive information via email or phone.
Why are you changing your brand name and domain?
We are updating our brand identity to better reflect who we are today and the future we are creating. Since our founding, we have grown significantly, reaching more customers with faster, safer, and more convenient transfers. This rebrand reflects our ongoing commitment to improvement and innovation, while maintaining the same reliable service you trust.
Does this mean the company itself is changing?
No. Only our brand name, logo, and domain will change. The company, our licenses, our team, and our security standards remain exactly the same. Your money and data remain completely safe.
Where can I confirm your company’s registration and licenses?
Our company registration and regulatory licenses remain unchanged under the new brand Fukupochi.
We are fully licensed by the Kanto Local Finance Bureau and comply with all requirements under the Payment Services Act.
